About
Kate has worked in the public cultural and charitable sector for over 40 years. Initially as an actor and director in theatre, arts in education and community arts. Her work has spanned programming theatre, dance and live literature. As a member of the arts funding system, she was Director of Performing and Combined Arts at West Midlands Arts/Arts Council England, during the first years of the expansion of Lottery Funding. She was involved in the development of the Arts with Older People programme, as Arts Adviser to the Baring Foundation.
CURRENT Work
Kate is in demand as an evaluator of arts projects from national programmes such as Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places, Birmingham Rep’s Foundry Programme and projects such as the inaugural photographic exhibition at the Library of Birmingham and Little Earthquake’s inspiring Young Producers theatre project with primary aged children in the Black Country.
She has undertaken numerous Governance reviews and Board Development workshops with boards of Arts organisations large and small.
